Leafy

Well, it's been over a month since I last posted, and what do I have to show for it?

The same socks!

Actually they're not the same the socks, they are the same yarn knitted to the same pattern, again, at the right tension this time, only because they were knit with an added measure of tiredness and lack of concentration, they are too long. For the past few weeks I've been unable to do much more at the end of a day than cook myself some rice and vegetables, stare blindly at the TV for an hour or so and then tumble into bed, but this morning I actually got round to measuring some swatches! We finally have internet at home (after five visits from different BT engineers), and I'm getting more used to the wonderful and exhausting life of a clinical medical student, so hopefully knitting and blogging will pick up soon.

In the meantime, for MG: Baz Luhrmann II, thriving on the windowsill of my new flat

(complete with rotting window-frame, but that's another story).

How strange - as of today, we have a newly-painted windowsill but rotting basil...

I've been thinking of you in your frantic life. I'm glad it's wonderful even if exhausting :)

The socks look beautiful, anyway, so at least the knitting you've been able to do is productive. I hope life eases up on you a wee bit! Even a fulfilling and happy busy life can be a bit much at times. I'm always hoping for one solid boring year. Good luck in the clinical medicinal realm!
