Today is a good day

I had no idea this would make me so happy.

I may have been taken in by campaign rhetoric, been swept up in mass transatlantic hysteria and thrown reason to the winds of emotion and idealism - but somehow, fundamentally, it does.

Today, the sky is a brighter grey. People seem kinder, braver, stronger. I feel as if I woke into a world in which possibility can become reality, hope can turn to belief, and something wonderful, perhaps even magical, is brewing.

A good day for planting little acorns.

It still hasn't quite sunk in for me but, as you might imagine, Thunky is walking on clouds today. We broke out the good scotch last night :)

It is SUCH a wonderful day! (Even if I am rather tired from staying up to watch the first states being called) :)

My brain is trying to adjust to happiness and SUCCESS!!!

And at the same time trying to focus on work, rather unsuccessfully. :)

Well, we're all excited down here too - even if it IS a completely different continent! :)
