This

is what my desk looked like at dawn this morning.

Not because I'd been up all night, but because I am apparently rare in preferring to go to bed before midnight and getting up early to work the next morning. This is going to get harder when the sun only gets up after I have left for uni, which is going to happen soon.

Is that Pol II and gene transcription I see? What a way to greet the dawn! :)
I'm hating the transition to daylight saving time...it get dark so, so early here.

Oh no, I'm totally with you there, would rather get up at 5am and work and stop in the evenings and be in bed on time. I think that makes us 'Larks' rather than 'Nightingales'.

When I spent a few months traveling alone in Auistralia I routinley was asleep at 9.30pm and up by 6am - felt just right!

Whereas I, on the other hand, go to bed early ad get up late! Which I think makes me...a sloth?

Ack! All those textbooks!

I prefer to be a morning person too. Strangely enough I have a much easier time getting up early on the weekends than on work days! Hmmm...

I always sympathized with a character in one of my favorite books as a child, who remarked upon getting up early one morning, "I like it. The day feels so unused."
