A thin layer used to wrap or cover things

I have no intention of going to see this film, of agreeing to rent it when in the company of either of my dear and respected friends who have an inexplicable liking for blockbuster rom coms, or even watching it when it turns up on TV on a Friday night when I'm stranded on the sofa after a week from Hades that has wiped out me, my intestinal flora and any critical faculty I might once have had.


What I'm interested in, of course, is the knitted garments sported by Ms Thurman in the above pictures. I've been wondering how to wear my Picovoli. It seems too much of a knitted garment to wear as a T-shirt, but owing to a certain 'rusticity' that Julia identified doesn't quite sit with any of the fine-gauge machine-knit cardigans in my cupboard. I don't know if you've noticed this (and indeed, why would you unless you had very, very little to read while eating your lunch?), but the top Uma wears in this scene seems to have something of a rustic texture too. Hurrah! Clearly, the answer to my what-to-wear-with-the-somewhat-rustic-Picovoli dilemma is to top it with an even more rustic shrug. I'm thinking of adding some bobbles and cables from Forbes Forest to a basic bolero. They, apparently, are really fun to knit.

Another thing that interested me was the colour change in said garment. In the picture above, you see the advert of which I speak on the left, and the original still (printed atop a newspaper review) on the right. Unless Uma really is an other-worldly being, with the ability to replicate attitude and facial expression identically over and over again, this must be the same picture. And look! In being transferred from still to poster it has also been changed from green to pink. This would suggest not only that the ad people aren't taking part in Project Spectrum, but also that, without a doubt, pink is the colour of the rom com.

Now, what colour goes with Ribena?
